アリストテレス
	BC384年 - BC322年3月7日
	古代ギリシアの哲学者
	プラトンの弟子であり、ソクラテス、プラトンとともに、しばしば「西洋」最大の哲学者の一人とされ、その多岐にわたる自然研究の業績から「万学の祖」とも呼ばれる。 特に動物に関する体系的な研究は古代世界では東西に類を見ない。 イスラーム哲学や中世スコラ学、さらには近代哲学・論理学に多大な影響を与えた。 また、マケドニア王アレクサンドロス3世（通称アレクサンドロス大王）の家庭教師であったことでも知られる。 名前の由来はギリシア語の aristos （最高の）と telos （目的）から。
